Gila River Casinos has broken down ground on an $8 million development program of its "Vee Quiva" Casino. The expansion will add up more than 11,000 square feet and about 300 new parking places for new customers. This development is making waves among citizens of the city, some in favor but others aren't.

The casino, which is run by Gila River Gaming Enterprises Inc., is intensifying to keep tempo with the healthy growth in the southwest Valley, as predicted by their financial experts. Vee Quiva sits off 51st Avenue south of Interstate 10 – a location of high accessibility which contributes a lot to the casino's success.

The expansion will consist of a new bingo halls for elderly people equipped with new comfortable benches and a cafeteria, full-service alcoholic-bar and top-rated restaurant which could contain more than 300 clients at once.
